Research
CASP develops collaborative research with institutions around the world on air, space, cyber, and digital policy themes.
CASP welcomes research collaboration with universities, research centres, think tanks, government institutions, international organisations, private sector actors, and civil society partners across the world. Our research work is designed to connect rigorous academic inquiry with practical policy needs in the air, space, cyber, and digital domains.
Through collaborative research, CASP supports partners in examining the legal, regulatory, economic, security, environmental, and governance dimensions of aerospace development. We are open to joint studies, comparative policy analysis, commissioned research, research-based advisory work, policy briefs, academic publications, seminars, workshops, expert roundtables, and capacity-building initiatives.
Our research themes include aviation law and policy, space law and policy, air traffic and airport governance, commercial space activities, satellite regulation, aerospace safety and security, sustainability in aviation and space activities, cyber and digital policy relating to aerospace systems, and the role of Indonesia and the wider Asia-Pacific region in global aerospace governance.
CASP is particularly interested in partnerships that bring together institutions from different jurisdictions. By combining local knowledge, international expertise, and interdisciplinary perspectives, we aim to produce research that is useful for policymakers, regulators, industry leaders, scholars, and communities affected by rapid technological change.
If your institution is developing a research agenda related to CASP themes, we would be pleased to discuss potential collaboration. CASP can contribute subject-matter expertise, researchers, comparative legal and policy analysis, publication support, and platforms for public dialogue.
